Ben Crump

Ben Crump, born on October 10, 1969, in Lumberton, North Carolina, but raised in
Tallahassee, Florida, is one of the nation’s leading civil rights attorneys, often called "Black America's attorney general." His legal battles on behalf of Black families who
have suffered injustices at the hands of the police and other institutions have made him
a household name, not only in Florida but across the country.

Crump's most famous cases include representing the families of Trayvon Martin,
Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, among others. His work goes far beyond the
courtroom—he is a vocal advocate for social justice, demanding reform in policing,
education, and healthcare. Tallahassee, where Crump grew up and still resides, has
benefited from his presence as he remains deeply involved in the community,
championing causes that uplift Black families and demand equality.
